Lip Filler Procedures
Lip filler procedures, also known as lip augmentations have become super popular the last few years. Below is a general overview of how lip filler are done.
How are Lip Fillers done?
Consultation: After scheduling your free consultation with Angie’s Injections for lip fillers, we will evaluate your lips, discuss the available options, potential risks, and the expected results.
Preparation: Before the procedure, we’ll apply a topical numbing cream to minimize discomfort during your lip injections. Your medical history, including any allergies or past reactions to medications, will also be reviewed by our nurse practitioner.
Selection of Filler: Depending on your desired outcome we’ll use hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers being the most common. HA fillers are preferred because they are temporary and can be dissolved if needed. The specific filler and the amount required will be determined based on the patient’s anatomy and desired outcome.

Injection: Once the lips are numbed and the filler is prepared, Angie will carefully inject the filler into specific areas of your lips using a fine needle or a cannula. The injection technique and the placement of the filler will depend on your goals, like adding volume, defining the lip borders, or correcting asymmetry.
Assessment and Adjustment: After injections, Angie will assess the results and may make additional injections or adjustments to achieve your desired outcome. It’s important for you to communicate openly during this process to ensure satisfaction with the results.
Post-procedure Care: You may experience some swelling, bruising, or redness around the injection sites, which is usually temporary and resolves within a few days. Avoid touching or pressing on your lips and follow any specific post-procedure instructions that we provide.
Follow-up: We’ll reach out about 1 week following your appointment to see how things are going.
It’s important to choose a qualified and experienced injector who prioritizes safety and natural-looking results. At Angie’s Injections, we will not move forward with administering additional lip filler to any client at our discretion. Clients should have realistic expectations about the outcome of the procedure and be aware that lip fillers are not permanent and may require touch-up treatments to maintain results.
