The Initial Appointment Process
- Goals and Health Review:
We will meet with you to discuss your weight loss goals and health history to ensure the medication is safe for you. - Medical Director Consultation:
We will then connect with our medical director via a quick video call. She will review your information and speak with you briefly to finalize approval. - First Injection:
You will receive your first injection at this visit. - Vial Delivery:
Your 1 mL vial of medication will be delivered directly to your home. - Dosing and Vial Duration:
We start with a low dose (5 mg) and adjust based on your body's response. If you tolerate the medication well and are losing weight, we stay at that dose until your weight loss plateaus.
Once you plateau, we will increase the dose. Because the dosage is personalized to your response, there is no fixed time for how long the initial 1 mL vial will last. Some people stay on a low dose for a long time, while others need to increase the dosage sooner.

Future Vial Costs and Recommendations
When you start running low, we can order a replacement vial. Larger vials offer a better value but depends on your treatment duration and current dose.

We continue treatment until you reach your goal weight, at which point we will taper you off the medication.
Choosing Your Medication
We generally recommend starting with Semaglutide because it is more affordable. If you experience significant side effects or if weight loss is not occurring as expected, we can easily switch you to Tirzepatide.
The choice is entirely yours; you may choose to start with Tirzepatide from the beginning.
